PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet roller which is improved in a magnetic fore, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Magnet pieces 13 to 18, which are each fan-shaped in cross section, are assembled into a magnet roller 12 circular in cross section, making their pivotal parts face inwardly. The magnet pieces 13 to 18, have each a ferromagnetic N pole or a ferromagnetic S pole at their peripheral parts and also a ferromagnetic S pole or the ferromagnetic N pole on both the oblique sides or either oblique side of their pivotal parts which are opposite in polarity to the peripheral parts, a ferromagnetic S pole or a ferromagnetic N pole is provided to one oblique side of the pivotal part, and the ferromagnetic N pole or the ferromagnetic S pole is provided to the other oblique side opposite in polarity, so that the magnetic pieces 13 to 18 are combined optimally into the magnet roller 12.
