PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PGA socket enabled to make a cover housing slide against a base housing, at low cost. SOLUTION: As a sliding mechanism making a cover housing 3 slide against a base housing 2, an off-centered member 5, composed of a first axis part 51 having a concave part 51a, and an off-centered member 52, extending from the end part of the first axis part 51 having a central axis different from the central axis of the first axis part 51, are utilized. The concave part 51 is formed on the axis part by excavating the first axis part 51 into rectangular shape. The cover housing 3 is made to slide against the base housing by fitting the top end of a flat tip screwdriver to the concave part 51 and turning it.
