PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a connector provided with a fit which prevents incomplete fitting function in the direction of fitting. SOLUTION: A slider 51 is retreated inside a female housing 20, while the slider 51 elastically compresses a compression coil spring 50 and energizing force for energizing the slider 51 forward is stored by pressing of a pressed part 58 by a pressing part 14 of a male housing 10 accompanying fitting of both housings 10 and 20. When a guided part 61 of the slider 51 is engaged with a guiding part 41 provided in a terminal housing part 21, the slider 51 is tilted about a support pin 60 provided in a rear part; and when both housings 10 and 20 reach normal fitting and the slider 51 is tilted by the guiding part 41 to a height, so that the pressed part 58 is separated from the pressing part 14, the energizing force of the compression coil spring 50 is released and the slider 51 is advanced, while maintaining inclined attitude in an up-grade from a rear end side to a front end side.
