PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable resistor unit for high voltage that can reduce the size of a circuit board. SOLUTION: A second variable-resistance circuit pattern comprising an annular resistance part VR21 and an annular current-collecting part FR2 that have a common center and face each other with the center therebetween, is formed on a circuit board. The radius of curvature of the resistance part VR21 and the current-collecting part FR2 is made the same, and the central part of the current-collecting part FR2 is electrically connected with an output electrode E4. A second sliding element 21, sliding on the second variable resistance circuit pattern VR2, is formed as to slide on both the annular resistance part 21 and annular current collecting part FR2, while two contacts 23a and 23b use the center between the annular resistance part VR21 and annular current-collecting part FR2 as a center.
