A high temperature resistant insulating mat is designed as a laminate of at least one layer (1) of ceramic fibre material and at least one layer (2) of a heat-resistant, inorganic material, preferably a glass fibre or mineral fibre material. The layers are glued together with a heat-resistant adhesive (3). A mat of this kind will be very light, have very good heat insulating properties, and have sufficient rigidity to enable it to be installed at desired locations. |
