<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electrifying member of an electrifying device from being soiled by toner in an image forming apparatus electrifying an image carrier by the electrifying device, forming an electrostatic latent image by exposing the electrified surface, visualizing the electrostatic latent image as a toner image by polymerized toner, transferring the toner image to transfer material and eliminating any transfer residue toner stuck to the image carrier after the transfer by a cleaning device.
