PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a data processing system having improved performance and capable of eliminating the greater part of limitation imposed to a disclosed device. SOLUTION: In this data processing system including a processor (100), at least one data memory (132), at least one program memory (134), and a main bus (110) being common to the data memory and the program memory and connecting the memories to the processor, at least one memory has a high-speed access mode. The system further includes an allocation interface (120) connected between the main bus and the memories. The interface makes one memory alternately communicate with the processing through the main bus, that is, keeps one memory in so-called active access mode and the other memory in so-called passive access mode so that subsequent fast access can be performed. |
