PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient digital broadcast receiver without interrupting even if the user does not select a channel and also to provide a method for controlling the receiver. SOLUTION: In the digital broadcast receiver 10, an MPU 26 detects the number and the codes of sub-channels provided in a reception main channel from the received control data, changes the channel into the sub-channel with the smallest code when the number of the sub-channels is changed, changes the channel to the smallest code sub-channel among the remaining sub-channels when the codes of the reception sub-channel run out and displays the codes of the received main channel and sub-channel on a display 25. |
