PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set and a method for displaying parties on the other end in telephone conversation using the telephone set, wherein the details of tripartite telephone conversation service can be easily grasped on a display by a user and telephone conversation modes can be easily changed. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set 10 is provided with the display 42 and allows various telephone conversation information to be displayed on the display 42. The telephone set 10 has ROM 43 in which connected speaker icons 50 selectable by the user are stored; a display program which is stored in the ROM 43 and is for displaying on the display 42 the connected speaker icons 50 of all the other parties in connection when two or more other parties are in connection; and a selection frame 51 for selecting any connected speaker icon 50 from among the connected speaker icons 50 displayed by the display program. To change other parties in connection, a connected speaker icon 50 is selected in the selection frame 51 and a decide button is clicked.
