PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capstan motor in which a rotational noise being generated during a high speed rotation in FF/REW, etc., is reduced. SOLUTION: The capstan motor BB is provided with a resin bearing 18 having bearings 26A, 26B and molding clearance grooves 7A, 7B, a capstan shaft 2 having a groove 28 formed on a shaft circumferential surface 2A, a retainer 5 fitted in the groove 28 of the capstan shaft 2 for preventing rotor missing, and a thrust ring 6 which is inserted between the lower part of the retainer 5 and the bearing 26A of the bearing 18 fitted in the groove 28 of the capstan shaft 2 and consists of a resin material. The diameter of the inner periphery of the thrust ring 6 is larger than that of the capstan shaft 2, and the diameter of the outer periphery of the thrust ring 6 is smaller than that of the molding clearance groove 7A of the bearing 18.
