The invention relates to a process for increasing the constructive protection degree of the electrical machines, having many applications in fields such as, for example, the mechanisms for driving the industrial fittings, driving the installations and equipments to be protected against ingress of water and dust, etc. According to the invention, the process consists in inserting a rubber ring (1) into a seating cut in the housing (2), above the connecting diameter with the shields (3), up to the outer surface of the housing (2), said ring (1) having the diameter imposed by the dimensions of the gaping and it is maintained within this seating by providing a spot welded thin sheet metal ring (4). In order to protect the passing zone of the rotor axle through the shields, a cylindrical seating (b) is machined in the shields (2), wherein an oil retainer ring or a V-ring (5) is inserted. If the axial fan is not required in the operation of the motor, the rotor subassembly (6) is shortened at the bearing level, and a cylindrical seating (c) with a hot-pressed metal plug therein is provided in the corresponding shield (7).
