PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which the contamination of a recording material with a developer is prevented and good images can be always formed by suppressing the splashing of a normal developer and preventing the transferring of an inversed developer from a developer carrying body to an image carrying body. SOLUTION: In the image forming device equipped with a photoreceptor drum (image carrying body) 1, a developing means 4, a transfer electrifying device (transferring means) 11, a cleaning means 15 and a fixing means 12, while a developing sleeve (developer carrying body) 4a of the developing means 4 is stopped after an image is formed, an AC developing bias is applied on the developing sleeve 4a. When the AC developing bias is stopped, application is terminated in such a manner that the AC bias waveform corresponds to the direction of the electric field to develop with the developer in the direction to the photoreceptor drum 1. The developer contains at least a binder resin, a coloring agent and a charge controlling agent. The binder resin contains a vinyl resin, a polyester resin and a hybrid resin component having a vinyl polymer unit and a polyester polymer unit. The charge controlling agent consists of a copolymer of styrene/acryl monomers and acrylamide monomers containing sulfonic acid. |
