<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems, when an uninterruptible power supply is used in cold regions, of the capacity that is extractable from a storage battery decreases because of the characteristics of the battery and the operation time by the battery is shortened, and when a storage batter of larger capacity is used, an uninterruptible power supply for CATV becoming larger in size, which has been one of the causes for the higher cost. SOLUTION: The storage battery is made capable of heating, which is used in the uninterruptible power supply for CATV provided with the storage battery for an auxiliary power supply as a substitute for a commercial power source, by a heating part. It is configured to enable the temperature of the storage battery or its ambient temperature to be controlled by providing a temperature detecting part, that detects the temperature of the battery or the ambient temperature and a temperature control part that controls the operation of the heating part, based on the detection.</p> |
