PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single phase bridge inverter which can expect improvement in the application coefficient through equivalent current sharing of each controllable electric valve and feedback diode forming an inverter and equivalent temperature rise thereof. SOLUTION: When the status for turning ON Q1 and Q4, Q1 and Q3, Q2 and Q3, Q2 and Q4 among the controllable electric valves Q1 to Q4 forming a single phase bridge inverter are designated respectively as S1, S2, S3 and S4, the normal rotation mode for sequentially switching S1→S2→S3→S4→S1 and so on and the reverse rotation mode for sequentially switching S1→S4→S 3→S2→S1 and so on are operated alternately through the switching in every one cycle.
