PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facial picture processor for which a large capacity storage device is not required. SOLUTION: A facial picture processor is provided with a face detecting part 13 for detecting the position of one's face from a picture read by picture inputting equipment 11, a facial picture normalizing part 14 for normalizing the picture on the basis of the position of one's face, a feature value calculating part 15 for calculating a feature value from the normalized picture, a dictionary preparing part 16 for preparing a facial picture dictionary from the feature value, and a recognizing part 20 for recognizing the facial picture by comparing the feature value calculated by the feature value calculating part 15 with the facial picture dictionary. |
