PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit, which is capable of properly detecting the current of electrical load or controlling an applied current accompanying the detection of the current, while reducing the number of grounding terminals. SOLUTION: Grounding terminals GND1 and GND2 are provided in common to a plurality of electrical loads 1 to 7 in an ECU 10. Current detection resistors 21 and 22 are connected in series with the electric loads 6 and 7 and with the grounding terminals GND1 and GND2, to detect currents flowing through the electrical loads 6 and 7. A microcomputer 25 fetches the currents detected by the current detecting resistor 21 at any time, and currents applied to the electric loads 6 and 7 (e.g. oil pressure control linear solenoid) are controlled, on the basis of a deviation of the detected currents from target current values. The microcomputer 25 determines which electrical load is energized, and a target current value is corrected, corresponding to the electrical loads which are given a current respectively, at the same time.
