PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a person to take pleasure in going to a facsimile machine for a received document when there is a facsimile received, and to bring about a relaxing effect on the person going for the received document. SOLUTION: A control adder 3 is connected to a facsimile machine 1 via a communication equipment connection terminal 2. To the control adder 3, a relax factor generation external equipment 5 is connected via an external equipment connection terminal 4. The control adder 3 is so designed to be connected to an external communication line 7 via a circuit terminal 6. The relax factor generation external equipment 5 comprises odor sprays a-g for emitting different odors as relax factor generating means. The control adder 3 comprises a receiving section 8 which is connected to the circuit terminal 6 and receives facsimile reception signals from the external communication line 7, a processing section 9 connected to the receiving section 8, and a control section 10 for controlling the on/off of the odor sprays a-g by signals from the processing section 9. Furthermore, the processing section 9 is connected by a sender storing section 11, which is connected to a computer 13 via a USB port 12 which is an interface means.
