PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproducing device for performing flexible reproduction display of, for example, a program, a commercial, etc., by relating to a video reproducing method in reproduction display of a plurality of videos. SOLUTION: Pieces of independent video information are optionally collated on the basis of collation information individually corresponding to the pieces of independent video information, and the pieces of video information are combined from the results to perform reproduction control. Namely, the collation information related to individual video information such as a program and a CM is provided, and when a user selects and views certain optional video information, the contents of the collation information of the selected video information are compared with collation information contents of video information other than the selected video information, and a combination of pieces of video information to be reproduced is decided to perform reproduction control. In performing collation and comparison, it is further possible to decide video information to be reproduced with a more flexible combination by adopting a mechanism that uses not only contents of collation information with each other but also date and hour, a region, individual information of a viewer, etc.
