PURPOSE: An LCD and a method for displaying a gray scale using the same are provided to display the gray scale by using a pixel circuit including individual reset elements and the LCD having the pixel circuit. CONSTITUTION: A gate terminal(16) of a selection element(1) is connected with a line selection signal(Vline) outputted from a selection signal generator. A source terminal(15) of the selection element(1) is connected with a data signal(Vdata) as an output signal of a data buffer. A drain terminal(17) of the selection element(1) is connected with one terminal of the capacitor(2). The other terminal of a capacitor(2) is connected with common electrical potential. An initialization switch(13) is connected with the capacitor(2) in parallel. The drain terminal(17) of the selection element(1) is connected with an input terminal of an output buffer(14). An output terminal of the output buffer(14) is connected with a liquid crystal(3).
