SOUND INSULATIVE PIPE SECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe section which is low in cost and light in weight, can be easily constructed and is excellent in sound insulation performance. SOLUTION: The sound insulative pipe section 5 is formed by coating the pipe section 1 with a sound insulating member 4 composed of a vibration isolating sheet 2 consisting of an organic high-polymer material of >=1.5 in the peak value of a loss tangent (tanδ) and a restraining member 3 of >=1 GPa in modulus of longitudinal elasticity disposed on the outer flak of this sheet 1. The organic high-polymer material constituting the vibration isolating sheet 2 is preferably a resin composition composed of 100 pts.wt. chlorine-base high-polymer material containing 20 to 65 wt.% chlorine and 100 to 350 pts.wt. at least one kind of chlorinated paraffin of 10-50 mean C containing 30 to 70 wt.% chlorine.
