SOLUTION: After an electronic mail is received from a communication control part 1h via a communication line, the MIME of the electronic mail is extracted according to the execution of an attached image proper position display program in a CPU 1a, and whether or not the text of the electronic mail is a plaintext or a displayable attached picture file is determined, and when this is the attached picture file, the image size of the attached image of the image file is acquired, and the text of the electronic mail is read, and the line management table of the text is prepared, and an attached image inserting position is retrieved from the line management table, and whether or not the attached image can be inserted is judged from the image size and the attached image inserting position; and when the attached image can be inserted, a display part 1d is allowed to display the attached image at the attached image inserting position, and in the other case, to display the attached image at an already decided position.
