PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately monitor the service life of lead-acid batteries. SOLUTION: The average values of internal resistance within a prescribed period of time are compared with each other; and the time, when the rate of change in them becomes a prescribed value or more, is decided as being its end of life, and alarm or the like is displayed. Further, more time to replace batteries is predicted through changes in the rate of change with time, and this is displayed.
