PURPOSE: A bumper for a vehicle is provided to enhance an aerodynamic property and a fuel consumption ratio by installing a bumper rib capable of pulling in and pulling down at an inner lower side of the bumper. CONSTITUTION: A bumper for a vehicle comprises a bumper(100) for protecting a vehicle body when the vehicle collides to an article or the other vehicle, a bumper rib(300) installed at an inner lower side of the bumper, and a driving portion(200) for pulling in and pulling down the bumper rib from the bumper. The driving portion is composed of a driving motor(210) for pulling in and pulling down the bumper rib by a rotation of a hinge shaft(211), a speed sensing sensor(230) for sensing the vehicle speed and activating selectively the driving motor, a gear(220) installed at an end of the hinge shaft, and a convex and concave portion(310) formed at one side of the bumper rib to engage with the gear.
