PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure a free capacity for owner's intrinsic information without using an expensive computer or program without possibility of deleting the owner's intrinsic information which must be maintained. SOLUTION: A portable telephone system comprises a portable telephone unit 100 having a user memory 110 for storing a plurality of owner's intrinsic information and a secondary cell 118 for storing power for a power source, and a charging base 200 having a power source supply unit 206 for supplying a power to charge the cell in the cell 118 of the telephone unit 100 and mounting the portable telephone unit 100. The base 200 has an unloading data memory 206 for holding unloading information, and unloads the owner's intrinsic information held in the memory 110 of the unit 100 as the unloading information in an unloading data memory 205 of the base 200 as the unloading information when the unit 100 is mounted at the base 200.
