PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce data transmission quantity, necessary at the time of acquiring an electronic mail list necessary at realizing of an electronic mail server at a portable terminal. SOLUTION: When the transmission of an electronic mail list is requested from a portable telephone, a mails sever transmits only the data related with four non-transmitted title information to the portable telephone. The portable telephone which receives the data displays the title information at the display based on the data; and when the number of the title information which is not displayed at the display is turned to be not more than two, the portable telephone automatically performs acquisition of the next electronic mail list, in a configuration such that this is not recognized by a user.
