PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent both an illegal action using a medal suspended by a thread, and an illegal action using a tool such as a sheet-like body. SOLUTION: This medal-passing detector is provided with two medal detecting proximity sensors 30A, 30B provided in a medal passage 21, and a control part for judging whether the medal for play passes through the medal passage 21 or not, based on outputs from the respective proximity sensors 30A, 30B. Each of the proximity sensors 30A, 30B has a medal detecting area provided continuously along the width direction of the medal passage 21, and the medal detecting areas are set over the whole area of the medal passage 21. |
