PURPOSE: A method for automatically converting and recovering a bell mode in a mobile communication terminal using a Bluetooth technology is provided to automatically convert the bell mode into a manner mode, and recover the manner mode as the previous bell mode when a user goes out of a public space. CONSTITUTION: If a mobile communication terminal installing a Bluetooth module is approached within a sensing range of a transmitted signal, the Bluetooth module of the mobile communication terminal generates a terminal information message including intrinsic information and bell mode information of the mobile communication terminal and transmits the generated terminal information message to a Bluetooth server(S2). A control unit of the Bluetooth server discriminates whether same data exist among data stored in a memory unit of the Bluetooth server using intrinsic information of the mobile communication terminal(S3). If the same data do not exist in the memory unit, it is judged whether a bell mode of the mobile communication terminal is a manner mode using bell mode information among received terminal information(S4). If the bell mode of the mobile communication terminal is not the manner mode, received terminal information is stored in the memory unit(S5). The control unit of the Bluetooth module generates a mode conversion message, and transmits the mode conversion message to the Bluetooth module(S6). The bell mode of the mobile communication terminal is automatically converted into the manner mode according to the transmitted mode conversion message through the control unit of the mobile communication terminal(S7). If the same data exist in the memory unit, bell mode information of data retrieved from the memory unit is detected(S8). The control unit of the Bluetooth server generates a mode conversion message for converting the bell mode of the mobile communication terminal into a previous bell mode, and transmits the mode conversion message to the mobile communication terminal(S9). The bell mode of the mobile communication terminal is recovered as the previous bell mode according to the transmitted mode conversion message through the control unit of the mobile communication terminal(S10).
