PURPOSE: A power saving circuit of a current driving type display element is provided to reduce power consumption of the display element by utilizing a power recycling circuit using a refresh scheme. CONSTITUTION: A power source(Vdd) applies a supply voltage. Data driving circuits of N number and data sink elements of N number are used for controlling a constant current source at a data terminal and the amount of current applied to an anode of an organic EL device. Scan driving circuits of M number and inverse voltage applying elements of M number are used as scan drivers. Refresh elements of M number are connected with the scan driving circuits of M number. A transformer(10) is connected with the data sink elements of N number and the scan driving circuits of M number. A DC-DC converter control portion(20) controls the transformer(10). An output of the DC-DC converter control portion(20) is transferred to a power source portion(30) through a diode(40). The scan driver is connected with the ground. Each drain terminal of the sink elements is connected with the anode of the organic EL device.
