The present invention refers to a prophylactic plastic cover to protect a bunch of bananas against insects, specifically acarid mites; comprising also a method for fabricating said bag or cover. Furthermore, it has to do with a machine for its fabrication. The present invention is related to the agricultural field, in specific, providing a prophylactic cover for protecting bunches of bananas 30 to 45 days before harvest; obtaining with this high quality fruits to sell. Some of the advantages of the present cover are that the impregnation of insecticide is done in a special manner not allowing it to fall down easily; and that it is non-toxic unlike conventional covers.
