PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting an emergent rescue signal using a mobile communication terminal are provided to generate an ultrasonic wave in the mobile communication terminal, quickly search the position of a caller who requests an emergent rescue, and rescue the caller. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard has a rescue request button. An RF(Radio Frequency) module(2) and a modem unit(1) connect to an antenna(ANT). An ultrasonic module(20) connects to a serial connection port of the modem unit(1) and generates an ultrasonic wave. A power control unit(10) connects to a general purpose input/output port(GPIO) of the modem unit(1) and supplies a power to the ultrasonic module(20).
