PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing device that can utilize a moving picture distribution service utilizing a streaming technology even when a memory capacity is limited. SOLUTION: A moving picture file (moving picture compression data) in a storage device 11 of a service provider facility 1 is compressed (encoded) by a compression tool (encoder) 12 and the compressed data are distributed from a WWW server 13 to a broadcast band communication terminal 2 via the Internet 30. A streaming software program 22 of a browser 21 of the broadcast band communication terminal 2 temporarily stores the moving picture compressed data received via the Internet 30 to allocated areas 24 in an internal memory 23, sequentially reproduces the data, displays a reproduced image on a liquid crystal display screen 25, and outputs a reproduced sound to a speaker 26 and also overwrites the newly received moving picture compressed data onto the moving picture compressed data having already been reproduced. |
