PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical disk device that can inexpensively realize stable motor drive without using a Hall sensor. SOLUTION: This optical disk device uses a sensor-less SP motor 102 using three phases of coils and a sensor-less SP driver 109. The driver 109 has a signal generating circuit which generates a signal by driving two phases of the three phases of coils and, at the same time, detecting the counter electromotive force in the remaining one phase. The driver 109 drives the motor 102 by using the signal generated by means of the signal generating circuit without using a Hall sensor. |
