PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving and controlling technique for a three-phase half-wave driven brushless motor by which the motor can be rotated properly in a desired direction at the time of starting the motor by deciding and controlling the winding for starting conduction, by accurately identifying the stationary position of a rotor with respect to a stator with a simple constitution that is hardly affected by noise, etc., and does not require counter, A/D converter, etc. SOLUTION: The conduction start phase is decided by identifying the stationary position of the rotor based on the different in kickback time caused by the difference in inductance which delicately changes depending upon the difference in stationary position of the rotor by feeding short-pulse currents that do not move the rotor when the rotor stands to two of the stator windings. |
