PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color reproduction characteristic data generating system that can simply generate a color management profile. SOLUTION: A color management profile generating server and an image display device are connected by a network. Prior to generation of a color management profile, the propriety of generating the profile is discriminated on the basis of an identification number of the image display device. When the generation of the profile is possible, colorimetric data of a prescribed reference image displayed by the image display device are received via the network and analysis is carried out. The color management profile obtained in this way is supplied to the image display device via the network. After discriminating the propriety of generation of the profile on the basis of the identification information, the server on the network analyzes the colorimetric data to simply obtain the color management profile. |
