PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication method by which high-speed and large-capacity communication can be made, using a simple and inexpensive structure by utilizing an optical fiber. SOLUTION: Optical signals are respectively generated from the optical transmitters 12 of a plurality of nodes 7, which are connected via optical fibers 9a by independently intensity-modulating a plurality of spectrum beams having different wavelengths, and the optical signals are sent to the same optical fibers 9a. In the optical fibers 9a, a multiplex spectrum beam, in which the plurality of spectrum beams are interposed, is transmitted. The multiplex spectrum beam is transmitted in the optical fiber 9a is received in an optical receiver 13 of each node 7 and is split into the plurality of spectrum beams, having different wavelengths, and it an optical signal is detected for each split spectrum beam. |
