PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller of power converter which can ease loss concentration of a controllable switch. SOLUTION: This controller of power converter comprises a power converter 1 including a plurality of switch groups 101 where a DC voltage source 2 and a plurality of controllable switches 102 are connected in series, one terminals is connected in parallel to the DC voltage source, and the other terminals is connected to each phase of a multi-phase AC load; a voltage instruction generating means 6 for generating a voltage instruction value of the multi-phase AC load; and an ignition signal generating means for controlling the open/close timing of the controllable switch based on a voltage instruction value from the voltage instruction generating means. The ignition signal generating means (4A) corrects the open/closing timing to control an average voltage of the multi- phase AC voltage generated by a plurality of switch groups in the direction to make small a difference between conductive periods of a plurality of controllable switches. |
