<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device whose reliability can be improved by eliminating the influence of diffused external light (the illumination light of a display device and a room or the like) present in an environment to which the information input device is exposed at the time of coordinate detection. SOLUTION: In the information input device 3 detecting the two-dimensional position coordinates of a prescribed object indicating a two-dimensional information input area 3a formed of light from a light emission means on the basis of light intensity distribution in a light reception means and outputting them as input information, the light emission means emits the light of a prescribed wavelength and the light reception means is provided with the maximum detection sensitivity for the wavelength of the light emitted from the light emission means. Thus, since the influence of the diffused external light (the illumination light of the display device 2 and the room or the like) present in the environment to which the information input device 3 is exposed at the time of the coordinate detection is eliminated, the reliability of the device is improved.</p> |
