<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conditioning method of a cold-cathode field electron emission display device. SOLUTION: In this conditioning method of the cold-cathode field electron emission display device, consisting of a cathode panel 10 having a cathode field electron emission element provided with a cathode electrode 12 and a gate electrode 14, and anode panel 20 having an anode electrode 24, current- detecting breaking means 40, 41, R connected to the cathode electrode 12, and a conditioning means consisting of a high-voltage circuit 42 are used, the cathode electrode 12 and the gate electrode 14 are kept in a short-circuit state, the voltage applied from the high-voltage circuit 42 to the anode electrode 24 is increased gradually, and the electrical connection of the high-voltage circuit 42 and the anode electrode 24 is broken during a predetermined time by the action of the current detecting braking means in a case, when the discharge current flowing in the current detecting breaking means caused by the generation of the discharge between the anode electrode 24 and the gate electrode 14 exceeds a prescribed value.</p> |
