PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a data transmitting system from causing data delay and data discontinuance without imposing heavy burden upon the Internet communication network even when the system transmits large-volume data like movie software. SOLUTION: When a user terminal (4A) requests a host server (3) to transmit desired data, the data transmitting system confirms whether or not the requested data are stored in a branch server (6A) installed to a provider (5A) which connects the terminal (4A) to the Internet communication network (2) and, when the data are stored in the server (6A), causes the server (6A) to transmit the data to the terminal (4A). When the data are not stored in the server (6A), the system causes the server (6A) to transmit the data to the terminal (4A) after transmitting the data to the server (6A) from the host server (3) or another branch server (6).
