PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for switching SIM cards. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a storage, a receiver, a processor and a switch. The storage stores a plurality of internal ID codes and each of internal ID codes identifies one direct service provider of SIM cards. The receiver identifies one of service providers. The processor compares a received ID code with each of internal codes. When the received ID code is recognized as a direct provider of SIM cards, the switch changes over the SIM card to one of SIM cards having the correspondent ID code.
