PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain required road state without the need for hearing unnecessary information. SOLUTION: The road state guide system is connected to a telephone network 1 passing through a PB signal transmitted corresponding to dialing in a telephone terminal. An identification number is assigned to a plurality of interchanges on a road and the system receives designation of start and end points by the PB signal corresponding to the identification number assigned to a plurality of the interchanges. The road state guide system is provided with a road situation storage means 33A that stores situation information of the road in cross-reference with the identification number, a road state acquisition means 30A that obtains the road state information corresponding to the identification number denoting the start and end points received as above from the information stored in the road state storage means 33A, and a voice response device 22 that converts the road state information obtained from the road state acquisition means 30A into voice and returns the voice to the telephone terminal.
