PURPOSE: A process of preparing a composition for controlling Helicobacter pylori comprising a natural drug material having pharmacological efficacy on inhibition of urease activity is provided. Whereby, the composition is effective in the prevention and treatment of various diseases caused by Helicobacter pylori. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 38 to 53% by weight of Curcuma zedoaria Rosc., 22 to 25% by weight of Curcuma longa L., 3 to 6% by weight of Amomum cardamomum L., 14 to 17% by weight of Laminaria japonica Aresch, 6 to 10% by weight of green tea and 2 to 4% by weight of another natural material is fermented at a temperature of 40 to 55deg.C and a relative humidity of 80 to 90% for 60 to 110hr. The natural material is a garlic, ginger, agar, Houttuynia cordata Thunb., Ulmus davidiana Planch and Amomum villosum Lour.
