PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a color image can be formed and down sizing can be achieved by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, four developing rolls 15 and a photoreceptor belt 22 are all moved downward at a nip part and an intermediate transfer is carried out twice. Thus, the apparatus can be down-sized by having each developing cartridge 7 and a fixing part 13 installed on both sides of a photoreceptor belt mechanism 8. Furthermore, it is also possible for the four developing rolls 15 and the photoreceptor belt 22, to have each developing roll 15 moved downward at the nip part and the photoreceptor belt 22 moved upward and the intermediate transfer carried out once. Moreover, a black developing cartridge 7K can be installed on the opposite side of the other 3 cartridges 7 in relation to the photoreceptor belt 22. Three developing rolls 15 and the photoreceptor belt 22 can be moved upward at the nip part or each developing roll 15 can be moved downward and the photoreceptor belt can be moved upward. |
