PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a speed-controllable actuator inexpensive. SOLUTION: The driving duty ratio Dm and the current Im when the actuator is driven at a fixed speed (target speed) are mapped in advance. At the time of driving a motor, the driving duty ratio Dm is compared with a discriminated driving duty ratio Dh found from the map in accordance with the detected current Im of the motor and, when Dh>Dm, control is performed to increase the speed of the actuator by increasing the driving duty ratio Dm at a prescribed rate (ΔDm). When Dh<=Dm, the control is shifted to constant-speed control by judging that the speed of the actuator becomes the target speed or higher. Therefore, when the motor is used, the control can be shifted from acceleration control to constant-speed control without using an expensive rotation sensor and the speed-controllable actuator can be made less expensive.
