PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome such a problem that the table in an Ethernet (registered trademark) switch becomes large and the enterprise network topologies are exposed. SOLUTION: Each original Ethernet packet(EP) generated in a first network of an enterprise, client, network service provider, or the like, is encapsulated in other EP. The other EP is granted with a source address for identifying a new encapsulated packet occurring at the port of a switch disposed at the interface between a first Ethernet packet(EN) where an original EP is generated and a second EN, e.g. large city zone EN, in order to transmit an encapsulated packet. When the encapsulated packet exceeds an allowable EP length, the original EP is divided at the interface between the first and second networks and the resulting parts are encapsulated as two encapsulated packets.
