PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe and inexpensive power supply utilizing an electrolyte capacitor with an explosion-proof valve for filtering and also provide an inexpensive motor controller utilizing the same power supply. SOLUTION: The depth L1 of a cap 11a is provided with a small gap against the ceiling of the electrolyte filter capacitor 12 in order to help the operation of the explosion-proof valve and is set a little longer than the contact part L3 (L3<L1). When a control circuit board 14 connected with a connector or the like is mounted on the upper part of a power supply circuit board 13, a gap L2 is generated between a board surface of the control circuit board 14 and the ceiling surface of the cap 11a of a fire preventing case 11. However, since the length L3 of contact part is set a little larger than the gap L2 (L2<L3), if the explosion-proof valve operates and the cap 11a is lifted under the condition that the motor controller is completed, it does not occur that the cap 11a collides with the board surface of the control circuit board 14 and thereby the fire-preventing case 11 is removed from the explosion-proof valve 12a and splash of the electrolyte can be minimized.
