PURPOSE: An anti-obesity composition containing Platycodi Radix, Cocicis Semen, Rehmanniae glutinosa, Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort., Plantago asiatica L. and Grifola frondosa as a main component is provided which reduces a body fat amount, body fat ratio, subcutaneous fat thickness and blood cholesterol level and has no adverse effects. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 15 to 60% by weight of Platycodon grandiflorum(Jacq.)A.DC., 10 to 40% by weight of Coix lacryma-jobi L. var. Stapf, 12 to 50% by weight of Rehmanniae glutinosa Liboschitz, 7 to 30% by weight of Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort., 5 to 20% by weight of Plantago asiatica L. and 0 to 5% by weight of Grifola frondosa is extracted in water at 100deg.C for 3hr or more, quickly frozen at -40deg.C for 10 to 20hr and dried under vacuum for 35hr or more.
