PURPOSE: An insulating cover for a welding wire spool is provided which can be fixed to the wire spool regardless of the number of arms by forming a clamping part on the central part of the insulating cover for the welding wire spool, thereby connecting thus fixing a pair of insulating covers for the welding wire spool. CONSTITUTION: In an insulating cover for a welding wire spool for insulating the spool on which a welding wire is coiled, the insulating cover for the welding wire spool comprises a clamping part(5) consisting of a plurality of clamping rims(31) which are projected in a direction facing the wire spool from the central part of the insulating cover for the wire spool(1) so that the clamping rims(31) penetrate arms(13) and cores(17) of the wire spool(3), the clamping rims(31) comprises one side clamping rim(31) on the end part of which clamping protrusions(33) are formed, and the other side clamping rim(31) on the end part of which clamping grooves(35) having a shape corresponding to the clamping protrusions(33) are formed, wherein the clamping protrusions(33) and the clamping grooves(35) of the clamping part(5) are formed in a hook shape, and the insulating cover for the welding wire spool further comprises guides which are projected from the inner surface of the insulating cover for the wire spool(1) so that the wire spool(3) and the insulating cover for the wire spool(1) are integrally rotated.
