PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide diagnostic support information such as risk anticipating information concerning a disease by sharing medical information which comprises genetic information among a plurality of medical institutions while protecting personal information. SOLUTION: A medical information managing system 10 functions as a server for medical institution side terminals 20 which are connected via a network 30. A medical information register means 13 registers medical information of persons under medical examination supplied from the terminal 20 in a medical information database 18. A personal information protecting means 17 permits only the medical institution which registers the medical information to perform access to personal information among pieces of medical information which are stored in the database 18. A medical information retrieving means 15 retrieves the database 18 with respect to a retrieval request from the medical institution and provides the retrieval result to the medical institution. A diagnostic support information providing means 16 requires diagnostic support information based on the database 18 concerning a diagnostic support request from the medical institution which registers medical information and supplies the result.
