PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system that enhances the effect of moving picture compression employing a time series difference in the case of using a frame switcher unit to switch images picked up by a plurality of cameras one after another. SOLUTION: By employing a plurality of memories M0-MF respectively corresponding to a plurality of cameras CAM0-CAMF, a time series difference is generated of each moving picture photographed individually by the cameras CAM0-CAMF separately by the memories M0-MF to apply compression coding to the moving picture while storing a key frame or the like. Similarly in the case of reproducing the moving picture, the moving pictures are separately decoded by the memories M0-MF. The time base correlation is taken between them to increase the compression rate.
